In the world of programming, feature development and bug fixing always come together. From more than 12 years' programming experience, I built up my strength not only in coding but also in problem-solving. Technically, what doesn’t kill me makes me stronger. I’m a Software Development Manager at Amazon, a great place to explore fast-advancing technologies, from the client side to the server side, from embedded OS to AWS cloud computing, from Proof-Of-Concept to product delivery. Before Amazon, I worked at General Motors as a senior software engineer. All our code contributes to GM’s SuperCruise (hands-free driving feature). In the world of autonomous driving, there are plenty of challenges, unknowns and excitments. I’m so glad and proud to be part of many talented teams. Regardless if I’m developing towards a solution, leading a team or teaching coding, I truely enjoy my journey.

As a working mother, I spent lots of my time on early education. Especially in coding and math. For my kids, lots of learning start from stories, Disney kind of stories, “when I was young” kind of stories and even my programming stories. I’m learning and growing alongside my kids and inadvertently accumulated a pile of “stories”. It seems working really well in my family, so I started to put more math and coding concepts into stories and created “CodingMind”… I’ll save the rest of the story for my class.

Meanwhile, I actively volunteering in many events related to early education, such as being a judge at First Tech Challenge (Robotics Competition), a coding instructor at Canada Learning Code, a mentor at STEM summer camps and much more. iKids Education is a great place for me to spread my love of teaching coding and math.
